I bought my very first pair of 99% recycled shoes last week. They are Worn Again trainers, made of prison blankets, ex-military parachutes, car seat scrap leather, ex-military long johns, ex-military towels and recycled rubber. Very comfortable, for me and the environment.

They are very reasonably priced (assuming they last a good while) although it doesn’t look like you can get them in Ireland. I may be visiting relatives in Manchester later this year so I’ll have to bear it in mind and perhaps arrrange to have some delivered there. I could do with a good pair of walking shoes which aren’t full-blown hiking boots and these look very comfy.

Worn Again trainers retail at around £65, but being a frugal sort I bought mine on eBay for £14.99. Moonwaves, you might want to see whether you can get delivery to Ireland on eBay and save yourself some cash if you want a pair.
